Cody Fry

Cody Fry is a down to earth performer that mixes his soulful hooks with a sharp image, creating his own unique, self-produced sound. He draws from an eclectic array of musical influences that give all of his songs an exciting and dynamic quality—and it hasn’t taken long for people to notice.

The Chicago Tribune proclaims Cody Fry as a “rich slice of blue-eyed soul”. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter now living in Nashville, TN was featured on the front page of the Tribune’s Arts&Enterainment Section last April.

Cody has also had the privilege of performing with the legendary Earth Wind & Fire, as well as sharing the stage with such greats as Herbie Hancock, Michael McDonald, Kanye West, John Legend, Gloria Estefan, and many others as a part of the GRAMMY Foundation’s Starry Night Tribute Series. He also spent a part of his previous summer singing for Oprah’s Trip of a Lifetime, a chartered Mediterranean cruise vacation for Oprah and her entire staff.

As a singer-songwriter, he has been recording and releasing CD projects of his original songs for 5 years, on which he sings and plays all instruments. He also acts as a music leader at his hometown church, and recently organized and produced three concerts to benefit a charity for African children, which featured his original music with arrangements for a 40-piece orchestra, and generated over $4000.

This enthusiastic and hard-working performer has a genuine joy for playing and writing music, and as his career unfolds, that love for his craft will surely not go unseen.

Cody would also like to extend a special thanks Geoff Cottrill and the Converse company for their support of his music and for providing the amazing footwear adorned by his band for the show.

Chase Foster

Chase Foster has been called a "prodigy". This is the only way to really describe this young man and his wealth of musical talent. When asked how it all began, he will tell you that it came from his upbringing- his grandpa, his family, and other legendary influences. This 19-year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

It was at the age of 9, when Chase Foster decided he would join the school orchestra as violinist. His grandpa, who is an accomplished musician, thought this would be the perfect opportunity to expose Chase Foster to some of his favorite music, Swing and Jazz. Chase Foster began to listen and learn about Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Johnny Gimble, Cindy Walker, Asleep at the Wheel, and many other Western Swing legends. It was then that his violin became a "fiddle".

Over the past few years, Chase Foster has become an accomplished and proficient guitarist, which has become his main performance instrument. He has been compared to the likes of Jamie Cullum, John Mayer, Billy Joel, Harry Connick Jr., and others.

Chase Foster continued to perform and many doors were opened. He was also recently asked to be an affiliate of SESAC and has worked with a few hit songwriters. When asked about the music industry and all the work that comes with making it, Chase Foster only has this to say: “Bring it on.”
